Bluetooth Problems ARC S Android 4

Hello,

after the Update to Android 4 I can not pair my Arc s with Toyota Avensis Bluetooth (2010). With the old Android 2.3.4 everything works fine. After searching the Toyota Bluetooth Kit and I try to Connect I get a message "FAILURE" from the Toyota Bluetooth Kit. I try to repair the Phone with Companion but the problem is still the same. I can not connect the Arc S with the Bluetoot Kit.

Sony Support doesn't know the Problem. Has anybody these Bluetooth isue too? Does anybody know how I can solve the Problem?

Hello, I'm from Poland and I'v the same problem with connect Xperia S with my buildin handsfree BT Citroen C4 GP.

When I pairing devices, I get message on cars display: "... connect failure .

Please help me!!!

I use my car since 2008, and i don't  have problem with Nokia (different models) HTC Touch, HTC Desire HD, HTC Wildfire, Xperia neo V.

I'm from Australia i too am experiencing the pairing issues wirh my ARC S with and ICS 4 and the in car bluetooth of my Holden Caprice. The phone tries to pair but that is as far as it gets, i don't even get the option to enter the pass code. Previously i had a HTC Desire with android 2.2 and i connected with no problems, i can even connect easily enough with my wife's iphone 4.

I wait in anticipation for someone to come up with a resolution or even for Sony to support it's customers and resolve this issue.

Further to my email yesterday re the pairing issue I'm experiencing with my new Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC S, I've tried to pair my son's Samsung Google Nexus mobile with android 4.0.4 as well, and not only did i managed to pair it with the bluetooth handsfree car kit in my '07 Holden Caprice but also the option to enter the pin code appeared and connected within seconds. So the pairing issue is definitely with the Xperia firmware and not the android 4.0.4 operating system itself.

I'd appreciate if someone from Sony could respond and provide a solution for all of us as soon as possible.

I knew i should've stuck with a reputable and reliable mobile phone brand that listens and provides a high quality service to its customers and resolves phones issues ASAP like Apple instead of purchasing a second rate and inferior branded mobile phone like Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson you've lost me as a future customer.

I wonder if the problem exists in unofficial ROMs like MIUI ? I know it voids the warranty, but in my opinion it would be better to have phone which is usable and has no warranty than to have a crippled one with warranty

I'd rather won't buy Sony next time... how long can you wait for the manufacturer to address single, perfectly described problem? come on, it's 2012 and it's one of the crucial features of today's phones...

don't know if this is relevant but was bought experia u last week but can't do anything with bluetooth. it pairs with other devices but can't connect. the whole pc companion thing seems pretty pointless too!

I have recently bought a new ford fiesta zetec. I am having the same problem with connecting my phone to the car's bluetooth using ICS. Does anyone have any suggestions for a workaround? The car can see the phone but the phone won't let me input the code!! Any help, please?!

2. Model name of the Bluetooth module/car kit: (CK 2010 (Continental) IAM 2.1)
3. Phone model: Xperia arc
4. Android version and build number: 2.3.4, 4.0.2.A.0.62
5. Short description of your problem: Drops network when screen is off, can't pair etc.
