Hi,
I have a brand new Sony Xperia Z5 Compact,
when I make/receive calls, the person at the other end has an echo from my phone.
THIS is not the case using a bluetooth device to make the calls with.
Please advice what to do ?

Ahoy!
Final update for the saga as far as my involvment goes:
I got the unit back from repairs last friday. Took it home over the weekend, had it sitting without activating the sim, trying to ease it into its routine by getting the apps and seeing if anyhing went haywire. Come monday, nothing but good signs. The battery was at a respectable 86% after sitting idle and updating stuff for 2 days, so all was looking up.
I then decided to plug in my earphones and bring it with me to the gym, which was the last thing I ever did on that phone. The AUX port did not register the headphones, and played music straight out of the speakers. No big deal, but the big deal is the pulse in the earphones even when the unit is not set to play anyting. Its like a DC static you can hear at all times.
I decided I've had it with the product, and goaded the trader to take it back despite the fact that he had 1 more repair attempt pr. Norwegian law. He agreed that it might have taken damage from the overheating that could affect preformance and battery live adversely over the course of my ownership.
Thus, I am the proud owner of a spanking new Galaxy S6. The trader even suggested I took a different handset than the Z5 as I was not the first person with these problems.
I am sad to say that my expectations and relation to sony as a phone manufacturer is at an all time low following this.
Hope my story can be of some comfort to others experiencing similar issues, you ain't alone.
Any news about this issue?
I have the same problem with my z5 compact 😕
I'm from Poland btw.

Sorry to tell you, but you are likely better off claiming it with your supplier, to get a refund. The unit is not functioning as it should.
**Update**
I sent my Z5 Compact to be repaired and got it returned a few days ago. They replaced the mic and now the echo is finally gone!
But I think it's really bad that Sony has sent out so many defective phones..
I have the echo problem on my brandnew z5. Upgraded it to Marshmallow with no improvement. Contacted support who suggested try a new sim - and if that doesn't fix it to return the item to the seller.
Has anyone tried using a new sim, and did this fix it?
I have exactly the same issue. All other callers experience it, whether I call them or they call me.
It disappears when I use headphones. When testing it from another phone, my voice just gets repeated back to me.
Effectively, nobody can call me.
Is there any solution to this?
So disappointed in Sony. Just wish I'd stuck with apple and could just go in and get a replacement straight away rather than having to send a phone off and do without one for 2 weeks.
Got my phone back from repair yesterday. They replaced the antenna and some other parts. The problem is gone now. Great work Sony!:-)
After complaining about the echo at the network provider's hotline, they replaced my Z5c with a new one. No more echoes with this one. So there seems to be a bad batch in the market having these echoes.
