Z5 Compact speaker volume dropping

Please can somebody help me? My Z5 compact while receiveing a call has very loud ringtone volume only for about 1 second, than it drops by around 60%... The same issue occurs while listening to music on speakers, it is loud for 1 second than volume drops... It is not caused by any setting I think. Please help

So far, the Sony Pc Companion is terrible.
At least when I did the software repair it was.
Back up was useless & the whole process took around 13 hours.

Mine miraculously fixed itself too. After about 24 hours. Strange.

I'm glad to hear that it works again.

In case this should happen again, please let me know.

same thing happens to me on my xperia Z5....

when I put it on speaker mode during a call, volume of the sound dramatically gets lower in 1 sec and it is not possible to hear from distance..

the sound in normal speaking mode almost higher than speaker mode.. I think speaker mode gives the sound from bottom speaker but I dont understand why volume is very low.. Is this s/w or h/w related, anybody knows? I dont see any problem while watching a video though...

please help. thanks

Sorry to hear that.

Could you please test if this also happens when the phone is in safe mode?

I've got some more information about this and when the loudspeaker volume decreases after about one second, this may be caused by “Smart amplifier calibration”, a Sony Mobile protection system for speaker playback to prevent damages to the speakers. The system needs a calibration when you reboot your device the first time. This is why the received voice on the speakerphone appears to be unstable. The calibration takes about 45 minutes. It runs automatically in the background and doesn't affect the audio for normal phone calls.

so it will be automatically get back to normal level after a while?

Also Rickard, the one of the main reasons for me to buy this phone was its stability and no-laggy interface based on user experiences.. But unfortunately, my phone app which you view the past calls and contact list seem to be so laggy. when I touch for calling someone or end a call, it responses so laggy and not smooth as expected. also for some other apps like chrome or other, likely I have lags during the transition of pages...

what can you suggest me? Is this the nature of the phone, normal? or something to do?

thanks a  lot

Yes, it should return to normal level by itself after a while.

I recommend that you try to update the firmware in your phone if it's not already updated. We have started rolling out a new firmware, 32.0.A.6.152, which contains enhancements. It could also be an app running in the background at the same time. To check this you could try it in safe mode.
