UNFORTUNATELY disabling adaptive brightness and optimized backlight do not resolve the "display won't wake up" problem.

it happened rarely but happened Slightly_frowning_Face

I also tried to activate photography mode by pressing the physical button, no way to turn ON the display Slightly_frowning_Face

Phone goes in photo mode but display is turned always off...

Please Sony fix this BIG problem!

(actual firmware .534)

I believe the display wake up issue is to do with the auto brightness as I explained in an earlier post, the screen actually wakes up but it is so dark you cannot see it - this is because the auto brighness range or scale is dependent on the position of the brightness slider before you activate it - so if the brighness is manually turned right down as far as it will go then you activate auto brighness it adjusts the brighness so low you cannot see it - it is a bug and needs some attention

I'm glad i joined this forum before purchasing a Z1 it's kinda made my mind up to stay clear of this model very disapointed:smileysad:

Z1 rocks and the problem is clearly software related. Don't get dissapointed because of this... The camera and generally the "feeling" that Z1 gives you when using it is amazing.

New phone 5days old.
No BT on.

Latest update(1.534).

Screen went black, but i could still hear the sound when pressing buttons, or the phone did ring when i recieved a call.
I had to reboot.

I will try to send back the phone and go for another brand if there is no quick update.

Hold volume up and power button until your phone turns off and then power on normally.

No this is not working for me, this was on when the bug happened.

This just happened to me, and bluetooth has always been off. I have had it for less than a day... I hope it does not happen more times. Because if it had been an emergency and I needed to call - well - it would be unforgivable.
