ringtone for the group of contacts

Please help.  How can I set different ringtones for different groups of contacts (family, coworkers, etc)??? (Sony Xperia ZR)  

I can set individual ringtone for each contact. In case of setting ringtone to the group of contacts it doesn't work right - the ringtone still is the standart one, which was set in the general settings. Please help, I would be very thankful!!

I do have the same problem. It doen't work in any way... local contact, sync contact... Could you fix this asap?

I don't even see the option for changing ringtone for group. Only for single contacts. Or am i blind?

I have received more information and unfortunately this feature is no longer supported. The option in the menu will be removed in upcoming updates. You will still be able to set a ringtone for a contact though.

Thank-you for the confirmation that this feature is no longer supported  -  at least I can stop trying to work out how to do it now.

It would appear that I am not alone is using this feature  -  i.e.  assigning a ringtone to a contract group.  It is something I have used heavily for many years now on several different brands of phone.

Can you please pass this on to the appropriate people that the user community would like this feature reinstated?  If you are unable to do so, please advise the means through which I can raise this request to Sony.

I must say I am surprised that Sony has chosen to remove this feature from the Xperia Z1 without any apparent consultation with its customers.

Can't believe Sony removing a smart option from their smart phones. I'm using an Xperia zr which is so much more expensive than my old galaxy y, but that one has it. C'mon Sony, give it back.

I downloaded exDialer to see if I can set ringtones for groups. Although it gave the option, it never actually worked.

The option to assign a ringtone for callers who are not in the phonebook contacts.
