PC Connection problem

I can not connect phone to PC. A week were not problems but now the phone is charging only.

I tried all possible:

• I reset the phone several times with total deletion of data
• I have renewed USB drivers from PC
• I deleted several times data from MTP.
• I restarted phone and PC many times.
• etc.

I realized that the problem is with the phone software.

Currently found your update to ICS, but how to update when I need a connection to PC

Try to use ( if you have USB 3,0 ) it have solved my problem with the conecting error

How much free space do you have left on your phones media storage? It needs to be very full for this to cause a problem and that in general is not a good idea when dealing with any digital storage device.

My phone is clean.  I have deleted all files, after formatting internal storage several times

Have a look for the Sony software update software on the Sony site somewhere. Not the pc companion. It should link enoughfor that as it seems to work better. That is what I used and it loaded it fine. Good luck.

It doesn't work. I have tried but PC didn't recognize the phone.

What should I do?

It doesn.t help....Result its the same, no connection.

Since you seem to be part of Sonys team can you help me?

I have installed PC Companion onto my laptop and have connected my Xperia S to it. The software recognises my phone and i can see all of its contents. It even stated that the latest update is available for download, but when i click on the update phone icon, it states that "this application cannot be installed, please try again later" it also does this for all the other bars, ie contacts and media go. Can you PLEASE help me so that I am able to update my phone to ICS?

USB port is not detecting in my xperia S.Tried some solution , cant find mtpapp in all application.only mtpextension is their,but still not working . . Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit... only charging(led glows)while connected to pc. Trying to connect for a month.and i have updated Recently  6.1.A.2.45 .Tot it will work after this update, but still facing issue when connecting to pc.pls help.:smileysad:
