PC Connection problem

I can not connect phone to PC. A week were not problems but now the phone is charging only.

I tried all possible:

• I reset the phone several times with total deletion of data
• I have renewed USB drivers from PC
• I deleted several times data from MTP.
• I restarted phone and PC many times.
• etc.

I realized that the problem is with the phone software.

Currently found your update to ICS, but how to update when I need a connection to PC

Please help

most people seem to have reported the problem after an update ( .75 I think ), was fine before, was knackered after.

But even so, all these long draw out explanations of, do this, do that, should not be needed if the thing worked as it should.

Or is this very poor quality normal for Sony.

Do you honestly think the explanations you have offered should be what you need to do to move some files from a phone to a computer.

I have the Xperia S and it works fine on different computers w/ different OS 32 and 64bit

most people? not defending sony but most people it's not accurate, try this create a new admin account on your PC install SUS > restart your PC > turn off your firewall and antivirus and then try again, it seems to be a computer issue not a PCC or xperia s issue

Windows 7 64 bit

found it on companion but still cant see memory, recognises the phone but won'tlet me see any files.

go to computer > do you see Xperia S ?

Yes, I can see it. But I can't access anything. I.e. I cannot put on or take off any music or pictures for example. But I could before the update.

I can See the phone in the top left of PCC but I still get the message to tell me companion cannot connect to see files. Opening it in file manager is the same I can see it but nothing there.

Unfortunately you are not the only one with this problem. The sony mods do see these threads, reply once or twice to have it marked "assumed answered" and move on without seeing if the issue is fixed.

I've had this problem with connectivity on the phone as well. Lots of data on the phone seems to affect the connection. It really is a pain in the ass to connect this phone.

I have approximately 1,5 month that I try without result to connect my phone to PC. You think I'm so happy of this. I gave last money to buy this phone, I was very happy,  but when I saw all this problems I'm very furious. I want to ask Sony, were is your customer care??? It tooks too long and you are unable to resolve this problems. How long I have to wait until you will resolve my and another issues??
