Hi,
I was updating my Xperia S to the latest version via Sony PC Companion.
1. After the 2nd step i.e. Prepare, the phone automatically went off.
2. After a few minutes of that the screen saying "Follow these steps to prepare the phone for update:" appeared. (Phone was off already as in 1)
3. It said to disconnect and connect again while pressing the volume down key. Did so, and SES Flash or something was successfully installed(appeared in system tray)
Steps 2 and 3 keep on repeating, phone is not responding, not getting on, nothing at all.
A message later came, "Facing problem while Updating your phone, dont worry, start over with step 1." I clicked OK. But no response.
What to do now?
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ Try using the update service application directly instead of PC companion, and see if that solves the problem.
Installing now. Will try that. Not sure that will work as the phone is not reacting. It went off while updating and eversince havent started neither has update continued.
Same problem even with Update Service Application. Once I connect while pressing the low sound key. It installs SEMC Flash and thats it. After that nothing moves forward.
Someone pls help what to do?
Try disabling your PC's firewall/antivirus, use a different USB port and failing that, try it on a different PC.
