xperia p photo resolution problem

i have my resolution set to 8mp but when i view the images in windows they are 1-1.5mb.

has anybody else experienced this & if so is there a fix?

1.5 mb is ok for an 8 mpx camera.You should try to set the camera on auto detect and focus every time you take a picture,and do not zoom.You should see the difference from 1.5 mb to 1.8 even 2 mbs.
