Weak Wi-Fi signal after Android 6 update

In new version of Android 6 z3 the phone speed very low and signal wifi very weak is very bad please fix the bug

I agree after Android 6 update all network connections are really really bad!!! I mean Wi-Fi and data are so slow and intermittent even if I'm next to a router, this is not about the wi-fi bars on the screen is about speed transfer and service quality!!!

same as all of you, my Z3TC have weak/intermittent wifi after upgrading to android 6.0 

Tried all solutions in the web (e.g. static IP, reset wifi setting, router set to 2.4hz, lolipop DHCP, Xperia Companion repair, etc.), wifi still weak...

It is Sept now, I hope Sony has not forgotten this problem

Hi, I have the same problem, my wifi for Z3 compact is not working, I'm forced to buy data because the WiFi doesn't connect, I have emailed Sony and was told to reset APN settings and then download Internet settings, nothing is working, I was considering sending my phone in thinking it had a technical issue but now I see its a common problem and still no solution. My laptop has no problem connecting to the WiFi. Is there a solution to this problem?

That's weird that they told you to reset APN settings when that has nothing to do with Wi-Fi I have also never heard of downloading "Internet settings" to try trouble shooting that issue. What does it say if you go to wifi and tap on your network that you are trying to connect to? Does it show a status, signal strength etc?

I bought myself a second hand z3 tablet compact. I'm a huge Sony fanboy and the previous owner did not run the official software. So after two days of testing the tablet as I bought it I decided to install the latest firmware that I could find. Soon after installing 6.0.1 I noticed my bluetooth was switching off and on again. I connected pc companion and noticed that Sony did not release 6.0.1 in the Netherlands. So I downgraded the firmware to kitkat. This did not fix my bluetooth problem. Connected to pc companion again and did a official update. Now my wifi does not stay on long enough for entering the password. And my bluetooth still turns off randomly. After getting the latest official firmware. I've also did a software repair several times. After each repair the problem seemed to get worse. After using our friend I had read some articles about this issue and what is my shocking conclusion? Sony made a mistake that they don't want to be responsible for. The software update destroid the hardware and the issue can only be fixed by replacing the motherboard. I think it's a save assumption to say that this is the reason why Sony announced not to develop software updates anymore for the z3 serie. In overall I think it is a shame that a company that has been a world leader in consumer electronics is so bussy with the competion that they forgot who started copying who. If I could only go back to my p800.

My Wifi is going through the same. Does anyone have a solution by now? I've tried changing my SSID name and password. I've also download apps that claim to repair your wifi on the cellphone, - none of that worked. I'm starting to consider it's a technical problem, but would be a great news If it could be fixed more easily. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, so I've tried everything and nothing worked. I just repaired my phone and this problem still goes on. Actually, it's not a weak Wi FI Signal, it doesn't connect at all. It keeps giving an error of authentification. I've already changed the SSID name and password. I've download an app on the cell phone via 3G that claims to repair the Wi Fi signal... still didn't work. Does anyone have  a solution? Is it a general bug on the Sony Xperia z2 D6543? Or is that a technical problem?

I have the new xz and it's driving me mad. New Xperia software download seems to have resolved the flashing I was getting on screen whilst moving through apps but it's done nothing at all for the truly awful WiFi. This damp phone can take 5 minutes to connect to the WiFi, yet my iPhone, wife's galaxy, laptop or PS 4 are instantaneous. Even if my Xperia is the only hardware turned on it still takes ages. Sony, this your so called flagship. My fan boy loyalty only goes so far. X box and galaxy for me from now on
