@kimthemuss

You shouldn't assume the worst, just get it inspected.

Noticed same problem that wifi is nosiderably weaker. Also performs slower in contacts(shows only numbers and after second names appears). Probably many things are worse at first impression.

I am having slow connection from wifi! The signal seems ok. It doesn't respond well. For example the ookla test is taking a long time to find the server to do the test but when it does i have 23 ping, 40mb dl, 5mb up
Every other device in my house is working fine with wifi.

I have rebooted the router, change the ecryption, forget the network.. Tried static ip and dns. Also same happens from safe mode.
Via 3g/4g it works fine

Just tell my if it is a known issue and we need an upgrade? Or do i need to test something else? A repair for example. Plz do not make me do unnecessary steps.

@Orfeas@Ali34@Paschouale@Budulis9999 and everyone else

.575 update on Z2 seems to have fixed the wifi indicator that was showing a lower signal, so Z3 should be fine now too. I will try to get some info on this by next week.

DO NOT UPDATE TO THE NEWEST FIRMWARE ITS A MESS.

Information - Android Version 6.01, Phone Xperia z3 D6603, Build Number 23.5.A.0.575.

The above information is what i have. I have updated this to the latest build, the first update was over the air, and i immediatley noticed the wifi problem. The wifi kept disconnecting, while in standby and in use.

I removed all network settings, and known wifi connections from the phone, and reconnected as a new network, and still having issues with the wifi dropping out on Android Version 6.0.1.

Restored the phone through the Sony PC Companion software. Still have the wifi issues, and this is annoying.

Battery is going more quicker than before with this update even if you update over the air, and through Sonys PC Companion software.

The loud speakers are slightly distored when you play music, or a YouTube video, this was not the case for me when i was on 5.1.1. I noticed this immediatley when the firmware was updated, you can hear a hissing sound while music, and general playback is being played through the speakers of the handset.

The reason i moved from an Apple handset to a Sony handset was, because i liked that sony took care in their features within android. This is obviously not the case anymore, as the WiFI, and battery issues are causing me to want to get rid of this phone completley.

If anyone knows of a way to go back to 5.1.1 lollipop please let me know, and also when on the 5.1.1 firmware if anyone knows how to get rid of that stupid update icon in the top left hand corner when you are on lollipop 5.1.1 (thats if there is a method to downgrade the firmware back to lollipop 5.1.1 on the Xperia z3 D6603)

The only way you are downloading a new firmware and applying the device through flastools.

After .575 upgrade from lolipop wifi problems.
Known wifi networks dont connect, i needed to connect manualy. Opera and other browsers need 5 time longer to open pages than usual (lolipop). Mobile network is about 6-7 time faster.
Download speed is normal, but it takes some time untill downloading begins. Seems like negotiating with routers via wifi is source of problems.

After factory reset:
- Wifi still has delay. Web pages loading slow. Saved networks now connect like they suposed to do after phone wakes up from sleep.
Top menu (quick settings) open randomly when browsing or typing text ( 15 times when i wrote this post). Baterry life seems worse, but thats subjective as i'm using phone more lately and admiring this upgrade, or downgrade to be honest.
