Hi,
I have a brand new Sony Xperia Z5 Compact,
when I make/receive calls, the person at the other end has an echo from my phone.
THIS is not the case using a bluetooth device to make the calls with.
Please advice what to do ?

In my Z5 Pemium the loadspeaker turned on when I made a call or recieved a call. That makes an echo in the other end. So I had to turnn of the loadspeake evrry time after making a call. The problem dissapeard yesterday when I got the last uppdate of the software. Version 32.2.A.305.

Got same problem, and as I see SONY don't give a about our problem. I bought my phone on Amazon while was working on the ship in US, when I was there I use my phone only for internet, music etc.
Now I back home to Ukraine and receive tons of complains from my friends about this echo issue. I start google it and found this topic on OFFICIAL site of Sony. Problem discovered almost one year ago and still not solved with firmware...
So now, of course, my phone with US warranty cannot be fixed in Ukraine for free and I need to pay to their local service for solving this problem...
So what official support would recommend me to do, throw my phone to trash bin? Cuz send it to US to repair will cost me price of new phone, or use local service and again pay half of the price of new phone?
I've been Sony user for many years, a lot of phones of your brand was in service but I was still member of Sony fans and now this situation bugs me off.

I had the same problem on a phone I bought 'used, as new' from Amazon. I updated all the firmware etc and that didn't fix it. Sent it to Sony repair shop, problem solved. Very happy 
After 10 months of back and forth to the service I can confirm relpacing the microphone solved the problem form me.
I hav't got complaince from people for about 2 months now.
However I had to complain and force the mobile carrier to do the hardware change.
If someone have the same problem I higly recommend you push for microphone change or device replacment immediatly.
My "best regards" to all the people in charge from SONY, for not taking the resonsibility to give one official short note:
"Yes, there are defectiv unis, replacing the microfone will fix it. POINT."

Brand new Z5 Compact and the echo bug. Does anyone have a solution? I'm seriously thinking to send it back to amazon and change model (and brand).
Untill today I have the same problem hint that My mobile has the lastest software firmware
which is (32.3.A.2.33).
How could I fix that problem ? because I can't talk with sim calls or (VoIP) calls

same problem.
Brand new Z5 Compact with echo bug frozen screen and turn off by it self. Sent 3 times to assistence with no result keep on sending me back the phone without to solve the problems.
