Dear Sir/Madam, I have been experiencing a peculiar issue with my xperia z1 [IMEI removed] after it got OTA upgrade to 14.5.A.0.270 that I would like to bring to your notice.
The voice quality during call in GSM mode is found deteriorated. Although I can hear the other person properly but the person from the other end can't hear me properly. Outgoing voice always breaks and generates echoes or waves. The problem instantly disappears if I change to WCDMA mode from GSM. In GSM also the problem disappears if I use a headphone or bluetooth headphone instead of built in mic. But in wcdma mode built in mic also works fine.
I am really disappointed as this can't be expected from a leading pioneer electronics goods provider like sony that also with a flagship product like xperia z 1. I have visited service centre also, reinstalled software but same problem persists.
After going through internet I came to know that many users are experiencing the same issue. I would like to request you kindly provide required and appropriate resolution by attending the issue at the earliest.
I am a die hard fan of SONY Mobile. I got my Lollypop 5.1.1 update yesterday for my Xperia Z1 and since then my voice is echoeing back during call. It is very irritating and dont know what to do. Kindly someone advise me.
I think the problem resolved for now. I tried the following :-
First disabled Microphone noice suppression and Speaker voice enhancement in Call settings and tried calling. No echo repeated. Then again enabled both Microphone noice suppression and Speaker voice enhancement and made calls to both fixed line and Mobile. For my surprise I didnt get any echoeing of my voice.
