Normally, the display will drain most of the battery. It is normal for it to have 40-45-50%,even more. The problem is you might have other apps acting up.Could you post a screenshot from settings-power management-battery usage?

Only loosing 12% overnight is not bad, I wouldn’t be too concerned about that at this stage.

Same issue here, i think i'm going to repair firmware even if i don't believe it will work..
Hello to everyone! I really hope that someone will help me, i am sure you have experienced the same issue too.
I haven't updated my XPERIA Z to android 5 because i am reading here that it causes a lot of issues and i don't wanna try to fix using pc companion as always.
I have Android 4.4.4 and my device overheats very fast and battery drains too much, i use smartphone only 1 hour with display on and it goes from 100% to 14% in few hours.
I disabled any notification, sync, extra or third party processes and i always "close" background apps or processes, free ram is always more than 1 gb.
I really don't know what the **bleep** let my battery drains that fast, percentage level decreases by 1% every 2/3 minutes and even if i have stamina mode and nothing on (I always disable cellular data and wifi) i cannot use device because it looks like a countdown to 0%...
Obviously i already repaired software via pc companion several times before the lollipop release and free storage is more than 10gb.. there is nothing active that could drain or overheat battery but unfortunately it happens!!
is there any app or valid diagnostics to check battery health or consuming processes?
THANKS SO MUCH
Thanks for help man but i really never enable location services unless i need it to use maps! It is always disabled and i always close "google play services" multiple times from "running" tap... Battery usage is mostly screen (44%) and Android system usually eats a lot too, about 15%..
I really use this smartphone so little and battery decreases too fast, diagnostics tool with hidden code says "good battery" but i think it isn't 😕
