Different charger included - EP800

Hi,

I recently bought a D5833 because I got my previous D5833 robbed about a month ago, but when I opened the box I noticed a different charger was included. The charger I had was the EP880, which is called a "fast charger" out there, but what I found in the new package was instead an EP800 , which is a reasonalby older version and much slower.

Has anyone else recently purchased a Z3 Compact and got that EP800 charger in the kit as well?

Does anyone have info on this and could share with me?

FYI - Both phones were purchased and also manufactured in Brazil.

I can't find info on the EP880, only the EP881, with that said, items in the box vary per region, you should contact your local Sony if you bought it through them, if it was from a different vendor you must check with them.

Hey @uliwooly thanks for the reply.

I sent an e-mail through Xperia Care, will wait on an answer from then until tomorrow...

Also, I am pretty sure the store who sold me this will not know anything about this since the product came sealed...

One other thing that I noticed was that this version came with the screen protectors, and my previous phone didn't...

I purchased this phone from an online store and my previous one I got from a Sony store.

Also at the time I got my previous cell, my mom got a Z3 from the same store just a few weeks later, and her phone came with the screen protectors.

This is all really strange...

Incase you didn't know the EP880 and 881 are the same device except one is retail and the other comes supplied in the box aka OEM apart from that they are the same device

@Thommo I knew that.

But the charger I received in this new kit was the EP800 instead of the EP880 , so that does not make the EP881 set that I think should have come with the phone.
