My phone cannot play 4K videos. I used to play 4K videos in YouTube but now it only runs in 1080 despite setting it to 2160. I know this because I compared it to another phone and they have the same resolution of 1080. Help please
where can i get real 4k?
I tried installing AIDA64 and found out on the display tab that im running 4k res. I thought this runs in 1080 native and only runs in 4k if you adjust some of it when connected to the pc? I haven't done any of that but it still says it runs 4k. Is this normal?

No, it runs 1080p all the time but when there is a 4K contents, it switches to 4K to preserve battery and device performance.
You don't need to run 4K all the time and NO they don't change it to 4K, they emulate 4K which was done for developpers to test their apps.
i know that's why i was wondering why it says in aida64 that my resolution is 4k even if i don't have any 4k videos. The only video i have is a super slow mo clip
Yes, i know that's why i said you adjust it when connected to pc (rooting whatever) and i didn't do any of that so why does it says in AIDA64 it's in 4k? My problem is maybe my phone might be thinking 1080p is already 4k hence why despite setting youtube videos to 4k looks exactly like 1080p
Aida64 has been updated and will show all xz premium as 4k, because.. They are 4k
Mine used to allow up to 4k to be selected but now I can only select upto 1440p.
So annoying...
On YouTube?

AIDA64 does not show you your current resolution. It simply shows the hardware parameters of your display hardware. What AIDA64 shows has nothing to do with what your current resolution is.
