Z3 Lollipop update breaks Mirrorlink

Hi,

Since updating from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2, mirror link has stopped working with my Pioneer headunit. Is the Z3 still certified with 5.0.2 update?

It worked perfectly with 4.4.4. I have a Pioneer AVH-X2700BS unit (certified with mirrorlink 1.1).

My head unit keeps telling me to reset the smart device setting.

Contact pioneer regarding lollipop compatibility

LOL yes and Pioneer told me to contact SONY Support. If the head unit hasnt changed, and the Z3 is listed as "certified mirror link compatible" and the Z3 firmware update breaks it, then the problem must lie with the Z3. Else the certification means nothing. Certification would mean that the device would have to comply with standards. It obviously doesnt anymore.

It's broken with at least one Alpine unit too.

I can try and get more info on which one if it helps ?

Anyone got a Sony head unit they can test it on ? It'd be really amusing if if doesn't work with their own units.

I have the same problem with pioneer appradio 3. Worked fine with my xperia z3 compact on 4.4,4. Just updated to lollipop and it fails to connect with mirror link. A notification pops up saying it's trying to connect but it just disappears after a few seconds. This is almost frustrating enough to make me switch back to kitkat

Mine is pretty much doing the same thing. I am also contemplating switching back to kitkat. But I love the eye candy of lollipop.

Same update, same problem. I'm using Mirrorlink with Pioneer AVH-X3600DAB and its CD-ML100 smartphone link adaptor.

Would be happy to receive some news from Sony to fix this bug...

There seems to be a problem also with Skoda's Bolero units. Mirrorlink is very unstable after Lollipop upgrade on the Z3.

Could someone check what Mirrorlink version KitKat has? I'm almost certain that it had version 1.1 or even 1.2 opposed to Lollipop's version 1.0.
