I had same problem too. It was about some water that got into my phone's inside even though every covers were thoroughly closed. What I was doing that opened every covers and taken out all of cards (MicroSD and Sim), then I left it to dry out in windy place nearly to my window. I had waited for few hours while it was completely drying out... but it still wasn't working, then I had blown strongly into to the openings in 3-4 times and finally it's turned on and working now as it was working.

Yes, the problem does appear to be water. I tried the same: drying the phone, leaving the flaps open for a few hours. Then I tried blowing in it (not too gentle, not too hard), but nothing helped.

The real question is: how did water get inside my phone when the flaps were closed?

1)install sony mobile flasher by androxyde

2)launch the application

3)wait until it says all ready

4)connect your phone while pressing vol up button until you see blue light notification.

5)Click on the flash button on the application, select fast boot

6)Then select reboot device into system. Quickly disconnect the phone.

Your xperia is alive once again. I did this to my phone and it works.
Goodluck!

I have the same problem and it is due to water damage. In my case I tried everything already described here and in other topics, without success.

I then disassembly the phone and found a damage on battery connector (pin oxidation), I clean it as much as I can but it still doesn't work.  I'm afraid that the battery is gone. I'm then asking you how can I check the battery voltage. Do you know in which of the six pins should I measure the battery voltage with a tester?

How can I check if the motherboard is ok? Can I supply it via USB (without battery)  and check the voltage in two pins of this connector?20160823_121304.jpg
