Sadly what Didrik say is correct, before thinking about hardware damage it's important to rule out the possibility of a software fault that don't allow the os to start/recognize the camera.
If you already did the software repair then what you can do is:
Make valid your warranty, if any, contacting Sony
Or
If there is really no Sony in Siria then.. Repairing by yourself or bringing the phone to a mobile phone shop. The issue may be simple like a simple disconnection, a fault in the main board or in the camera module.
