OK I will, in the meantime...yesterday I called Sony assistance, they gave me the local shop address, I left the phone to them, then the phone will go Milan where Sony's Italy center is, hope to get the device back in 10-15 days...repaired! Fingers crossed
Hello everybody, sorry I had to amend my alias due to new login procedures (don't know why...) anyway here is the update:
last Friday after exactly 10 business days (as promised) assistance gave me back the Z1C that did not start after overheating issue. The report said: "new software installed, battery check ok, charging test passed". Battery was 90% therefore I did not put the device in charge immediatly but only at night...well after 2 minutes charging...it shut down.
So again I switched on the old and reliable Arc S...
The following day I tried again to charge the Z1C and well...after 10 minutes on the dock...it started charging...wow
After the charge it switched on and worked perfectly till end of battery (40 hours with normal use). Then I tried to charge with usb...nothing, shut down again...**bleep** again...
But again after a while, the charging on the dock was ok but still without SD and SIM inside because put in the Arc S.
In the end...I will keep on trying to find out what exactly disables the charging but I do think that my Z1C will have to go again to assistance because I no longer trust its efficiency and as everybody knows nowadays you never can stay offline...

I have the same problem. I bring it to SCC in my region, Indonesia, then they replaced the machine, as they said. It never happen again. The bad is, i need to wait about 3 month for that.
