Z Ultra Screen so fragile

Why my Xperia Z Ultra glass is not as tough as said? It didn't have to get fall or hit it with hammer to make it crack. 
This is happened just 2 weeks after I bought my Z Ultra. 

When I come home, I put my ultra in my pocket, then I sit in motorcycle. When I arrived at home, I check my Ultra and then suddenly I found it get cracked in screen. I found not even single scratch in casing, but the screen got crack. The crack is so thin that I couldn't feel the crack with my hand. And the worst is, the touchscreen suddenly not working!

So, my warning to all Z Ultra owner, do not ever put your ultra in your pants pocket.

Ask Xperia Care: Can I claim my warranty?

I also ride motorcycles with my z ultra and I never had problems with it. And I put it in a pocket of a leathersuit with a lot of pressure on it. I also ride on racetracks with it and never had problems. Probably you are unlucky and got a f*ckd up phone

it's already more than 4 months and my z ultra still at service center and there is no clear answer when will it get fixed. d@mn Sony, why you did this to you loyal customer? I was user of Xperia Play, I played playstation until playstation 3, but this is how you treat your customer? Now I already replaced with a phone using gor*lla gl*ss and it is so d@mn useful and durable, I love it.

My phone's digitizer and glasss panel broke in my front pocket with minimal pressure.

I noticed right when I got the phone that if flexed a lot more then normally, and it flexed the most around where the glass broke (right next to the SD card tray).

This should be covered by warranty. An 800$ (in Norway) phone should not be this fragile.

I refuse to believe that this is not a production defect.

My z ultra also have similar problem.. two days ago it suddenly cracked without reason.. I dont dropped it I dont bump it but the screen is suddenly cracked after I put it to my pocket, I put only the phone in the pocket nothing else.. I already contact xperia care in my area, they don't want to accept my warranty. And told me to go to jakarta to ask to sony center there which is very far away from where I reside. I have just bought this phone for Three months and this cracked screen is not my fault or result of any accident, sony should take the responsibility as stated in the warranty because the damage is definitely due to defect products as it happens to many people.

I think there is 2 issues here,
1.Any phone with this surface area and such a slim lightweight metal frame WILL flex and when that occurs the glass will crack glass doesn't really do flexing.
2.And the slim metal frame isn't even continuous-that's a big integral weakness/gap where the m.sim and SD card slot in,which makes the frame even more flexible.so beware putting the phone in any trouser pockets and sitting down I fear.

well i have already sent sony mobile email regarding this matter last sunday, which they havent bother answering to this moment..

I'm planning to go to the main sony center in next weekend.. if they charge me to replace the cracked LCD, this will be my last sony ever.. and i'm not gonna recommend sony to any of my acquaintance..

I seem to recall reading that Sony were honouring warranty claims for single cracks on handsets built after sept 30 2013-but not shattered displays-it suggests a build difference to me after that date..?

FYI,you will find your build date on the pull out paper located adjacent to the micro sim slot,its in the format-e.g. 13w36 (year 13 week 36).
