Z Ultra Screen so fragile

Why my Xperia Z Ultra glass is not as tough as said? It didn't have to get fall or hit it with hammer to make it crack. 
This is happened just 2 weeks after I bought my Z Ultra. 

When I come home, I put my ultra in my pocket, then I sit in motorcycle. When I arrived at home, I check my Ultra and then suddenly I found it get cracked in screen. I found not even single scratch in casing, but the screen got crack. The crack is so thin that I couldn't feel the crack with my hand. And the worst is, the touchscreen suddenly not working!

So, my warning to all Z Ultra owner, do not ever put your ultra in your pants pocket.

I must be one of the lucky ones.

My Z Ultra has fallen to a hard surface countless times and it did not crack.

I do know based on my experience with phones that when you have your phone in your pocket with keys and coins in your pocket, this will crack or scratch your screen.

Having your phone in your pocket can also result in a crack based on carelessness such as accidently sitting on it or bending it.

Anyway, I should "knock on wood" because my Z Ultra just keeps on ticking.

Has anyone SUCCESSFULLY gotten through Sony support and had their screen repaired under warranty? This problem happened to me after just ONE WEEK of ownership and I'm really upset by it. The Z Ultra was amazing but I hardly got to enjoy it before it became completely unresponsive.

So: has anyone actually gotten their screen fixed for free under warranty?? I live in the States and Xperia Care wants me to ship it overseas and have it evaluated for warranty status and I really don't want to jump through that many hoops just to find out I'm S.O.L. I'm really tired of Sony beating around the bush, do they want to fix our phones or not? Just let us know, sheesh

I called to get my bezel fixed and they told me it would be needed to be shipped in the US. I decided not to do it though.

Maybe there is something unique about your phone that they want it shipped overseas.

My Z Ultra has taken a beating trust me. It still works like a champ with no cracks.

I have a couple of those tiny scracthes that are thinner then a strand of hair but thats it.

Can not bleave it my screen just went the the outter layer is fine not a mark on it's like it broke under it can't see how that is mistreating it and we don't have a sony center any were close so am stuck as what to do ?

Seriously Sony, is there a black and white? Its so double standard. I went first time, they as; me pay, second time dunnid. And they say i didnt need pay actually. But they put last foc without telling me and put onto my paper even though its still under warranty. Nw they ask me pay even under warranty. 3 times breaking for doing nothing. And the local service centre is atrocious with horrible work attitude.

This has also happened to myself, the phone has warped in one corner and cracked the screen, it was not dropped, and was in my pocket, I am looking for other people in Australia this has happened to as I am looking at options and maybe taking Sony to court, the product is not fit for purpose and should not be sold as a mobile phone.  I have lost respect for Sony and this issue and its outcome will effect all my future purchases with Sony. I was quoted more then the cost of the phone to replace the screen and charged an inspection fee of around $40.

I have broken 4 screens now and am very distressed. I agree the Bangkok service centre is a disgrace, service, ridiculous price for parts/services and it's located the other side BumsuxOdaho Bangkok. And at B8,000 or $250 USD every time I am not disposed to ever buying a sony again. I could have bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 or Iphone 6+.
However, I ve lost my job and cannot afford to buy the original sony screen the forth time so I'm off to Chinatown Klong Tom to buy a el-cheapo for B3, ($96 USD). Thx NOT Sony

I purchased my z ultra phone in January 15 few days ago when I got it out of my pocket saw little crack after which touch is not working first I thought it would have hit something but now I got it its same self cracking issue people around the world facin. Sony officials never take the responsibility of their mistake that's why they loosing their customers that's my last product of Sony from now on me or my friends won't go for this poor brand they only eating our hard earned money sony era Wil be over soon

I'm having this phone for like 1 year almost. 3 times crack under warranty by my company where I've bought it. But it's closed now. After those 3 cracks the 3rd repair took so long, like 2 months or so. So I've been complaining. Complained about it in the mail.. If they coudln't make the screen stronger or something. And then they've sended me an new phone. I even thought at the beginning it had an improved quality screen. Almost all the time not in my jeans. Mostly in car on holder or on the left of my laptop. Used him 2 months. All that time it was almost perfect. Sometimes automatic reboot but oké.. This screen looked even better so I've been trusting it a little more. Sadly after 2 months of nice use it just cracked by no reason. While whearing my working jeans. Very big sacks and stuff. Can't even get to mucht pressure. Now they're saying it's an unsure question about warranty or damage by user. 2 times they've sad it was dropping damage. While I've really really sure didn't have dropped in those 2 months. I even used it like 10 mins before on my way home. Then I wanted to take a shower, so I wanted to start an Radio streaming app. Then I've discovered the crack. And now they're charging me 250 euro's for an repair or 40 euros research costs.. Then after sending to Dynafix for the second time I'm receiving a message of repairing case :x 251 euro or 42+- euro research costs. But the screen cracked instantly for no reason and now they're willing me to pay.. Really frustrated about it!! They've made an bad procuct. They fix it 3 times and the 4th time it's my problem?! Sony thinks I'm an idiot? HAHA 2bad Sony. This is gonna be fixxed ffs. This really pissed me of.. Had more repair time almost, as fun time with my phone in an year of time..
