Samt thing happened with me and your information helped me in restarting it. I got worried when it became dead and onlty the top indicator started flickering.

It is only 4th day that I am using this phone.

Am I stuck. What to do if it fails.Disappointing. High cost and Sony Brand.. Nonsense.

I've updated my Sony Xperia Z1 through PCC and it still hasn't solved my black screen issue...so what can I try now Sony? You should open a store to repair our phones!

It's stupid because the touch screen works, I can feel the vibrations as I touch the screen but no display. What's going on? It would be great if Sony or anyone else can give me a solution to fix my phone.

Thanks

My Z1 suddenly turned off and won't boot again (power was at 85%) and even after charging it for a couple of hours (without charging led) no reaction.

I have tried the reset button aswell as the vol. up - power button combination, no reaction at all.

Screen stays black and no vibrations.

When I connect the device to my laptop it is not detected.

Calling my device results in imediate voicemail and no reaction from the phone.

Device is not rooted and updated to the latest firmware.

Guess I will have to take it back to the store...

Never had any problems with it since October upto now.

I have had the same problem

Happened twice during February.  It seemed that the phone wasn't charged and that did the trick for a while

Then, 7th March.  Phone fully charged overnight (showing 99%) went black while I was texting and would not switch on or off.  Connecting to the charger didn't work

Phone sent for repair, has taken over two weeks.  (Phone fix via carphone warehouse)

They have said 'software' problem.

Not sure, and not impressed, especially seeing so many others with same problem

How about the excuses from sony stopp!!!

Why is the Bridge For MAc taking so long to do anything?

Also why does everything I do have to be done through Google, or FAcebook.

I DO NOT WANT either to get my info, or contacts???????

@rammi,

Connect the phone to a wall charger > Press and Hold "Power Button" and " Volume Up" at the same time for 10 seconds until you feel 3 vibrations(just to make sure that the phone is completely turned off) > Charge it for 2 hrs > Repair/re-install the phone software with Sony Update Service.

Sony Update Service

Cheers.
