Xperia Z1 Black Screen, Completely Dead already ! PLEASE HELP !

I pressed the power button to bring up the phone, it came up for a second and then suddenly jolted to Black screen. The screen is permanently on but its black and I cant do anything! Cannot even do the hard reset ! This is unbelievable I've had it 3 days ! HELP PLEASE !

It was the only way,the other option was to take the phone into sony service.But I thought you wanted to try,it was not a solution,it was a suggestion.And I am sorry if it is worse now.I just wanted to help you.

zen - sounds to me like your phone has been damaged by water or has an internal hardware fault

if water you could remove the back and dry it out or if it's never been near water then back to Sony or Retailer for assessment

even if it is water and all the flaps were firmely shut and your phone has a bad seal somewhere it could still be covered under warranty - that is a call you have to make yourself, you can buy a new adhesive gasket for the rear panel if you decide to remove it - that is the best way to dry it

Same is happening for me.  I have tried holding the on/off switch down for several second as well as, the volume down button at the same time.  I get a vibration, but the screen is still black.  I can even here the ATT sign on theme and here notifications when I get emails, but still unable to view anything on the screen due to the black out.  I even checked for software updates and verified that my software is current.   Am at a loss.

please see this issue . i have taken this phone since three times it happened with this issue..I expect a good handset aftr taking so costly mobile...this type of blank create panic when in nesecity..

kindly do the needful & bring solution to it..

Thanks,all users should know about this,they think only sony phones have issues.But others are a lot worse...

My girlfriend got the same problem with her Xperia Z1 phone, and she had these problems since the start when buying the phone.

When talking in phone the screen get black, she can still talk but not do anything on the screen.

The support center just say as always, make a hard reset and install everything from the beginning.

She have done this many times now until now when the phone all suddenly refuse to show anything on the screen.

You can still take photos with the phone, get message scroll and such but you can`t see anything on the screen.

Have done the hard reset without helping, have also done the repair function with Sony Pc Companion, but nothing works.

Only solution now is to call Sony Center and see what they say about this.

Offcourse they have to repair or send a new phone that i hope will work better.

Premium phone that only give problems since Day 1.
