Wifi problem after ICS update

Hi,

I have this problem, that when I connect to the internet with my Xperia P throu wifi it will connect but after a minute it will not load pages anymore.

Everything works fine when connecting to the internet with DATA TRAFFIC.....what should i do?

Please help - everything was fine before with Gingerbread.

I updated to ICS yesterday on the 24th/aug.12.

Would it help if i repair the firmware? - and when repairing will all my previously installed Apps be deleted?

Thanks Migel,  Unortunately that wasn't the fix for my XperiaP.... I've just wasted another 2 hours going through the process again - backup, factory reset, setup, etc, and still no Wifi   Worse than that it's still turning the Wifi back on at will, which kills the 3G connection too - so back to square one.

Actually not square one ... I've got to put all my apps back on, through 3G, which is going to use half this month's data allowance.

SONY, throw us a bone here!  15 Years as a Sony/Ericsson loyalist,but not sure how much longer I can cope with this frustration !!!

I am also getting the same problem after updating to 6.1.1.B.1.54. I dont have Wi-Fi connection and due to this problem I cant use 3G! Sony, please do something...

Hello!

We just bought 2 brand new Xperia P, and we have the exact same problem on both phones:

We connect to a wifi network after that i can't disable the wireless, i have to switch off the phone.

Latest software version updated in both phones, and "factory reset" phones... both of them...

AND it also happens in a Xperia SOLA we bought in October.

If the phone "looses" signal from a wifi network it is connected to, it will not connect to another network anymore, we cannot switch the wifi off. Only restarting the phone will work...

We have already made "repair" / "reset" the phone, several times, after a while the problem returns.

Got android 4 to all your mobile??I use mostly 3g connection because of this problem!!I hope that they know the problem and it 'll be solved in jelly bean update!

Yes, latest updates on all devices. If we use only 3G, it seems fine, but when we use Wifi, all of the problems occur...

That's weird. My network speed seems to have increased since ICS. Haven't had any problems with network connectivity..

Seems a small share of novathor u8500 devices have this problem.

I hope Sony can reproduce this issue, so this can be fixed.

(I use a WiFi n connection on my p)

I was using ics from September(when i bought the phone,i update it)with no problems.The problem starts after the last (1.54) update.The network speed may have icreased,but i can' t disconect or turn of the wifi,the same problem with MiguelRobi.. I still can 't understand why SOME devices have the problem and not all..

Can anyone help us?! I have a sony xperia p and before updaiting to 6.1.1.B.1.54  everything worked just fine ... now i have to restart my phone in order to turn on and off the wifi ... it's just annoying to have to restart your phone every single time you want to use your wifi ... i'm gonna try to reboot  hope it will work ... is SONY ever going to find a solution?
