Hi,
I have this problem, that when I connect to the internet with my Xperia P throu wifi it will connect but after a minute it will not load pages anymore.
Everything works fine when connecting to the internet with DATA TRAFFIC.....what should i do?
Please help - everything was fine before with Gingerbread.
I updated to ICS yesterday on the 24th/aug.12.
Would it help if i repair the firmware? - and when repairing will all my previously installed Apps be deleted?
I'm from Estonia!
Best regards,
Thank you....
Mario
Dont think so, because my mobile choose when it want to put the wifi on and when not, because it happened to me twice that when I unlock the screen, the wifi inmediately turn ON and pass two or three seconds and suddenly turn OFF without doing anything...
PD: And if it a problem with the aplication.. what can i do? Delete and re-install?
The same here...
The thing is that it never happened with data package, only with the Wifi of my home, the mobile phone choose when turn the wifi on and when Off.
I lock the screen and the wifi is OFF, the same with data package. Then, when im going to unlock the screen, the wifi turn ON and then ( two seconds later) it automatically turn OFF...
Some xpert, or anyone from sony that can answer this?
I too have been through the same cycle of firmware upgrades, repairs, SUS updates and router reconfigurations,.... you name it, I've tried it, but still no sign of Wifi through my BT Homehub... apart from the first 5 seconds it's connected.
Having watched this saga unfold since my ICS update in early September, I have followed every suggestion, usualy a time consuming process of backup, system change, then restore, to end up back where I started, sans Apps
Please SONY, at the very least let us know when the BugFix will be released for the WIfi issue, or put a date on Jellybean for the Xpera P... soon to be Ex Peria P!
Applying Factory reset worked for me. Now issue is gone for the last two days. Anyway, very anoying that after every update I need to do a Factory reset to get things working properly.
Just to be clear, are you guys saying that after this update, you still can't connect to WPA2-AES secured networks properly. I'm away on holidays at the moment, but got the update yesterday, and have to say I find it pretty smooth, but I won't be able to check my wifi connection at home for a few days yet. If that doesn't work, I'm gonna have to look at getting either a new phone or a refund. Shame, as i'm starting to like the thing 🙂
Oh, i tried something and it seems to have worked! One person of this forum recommended me to do this, and it have worked (i had album bug also and now i can open!). All the people who has this problems, do this step by step:
I had this problem too so i couldnt stand this anymore and i just repair it using sony pc companion..i lost everything but at least everything is as it is ought to be at the moment..i can connect and disconnect from my home network WPA2 AES
