Wifi problem after ICS update

Hi,

I have this problem, that when I connect to the internet with my Xperia P throu wifi it will connect but after a minute it will not load pages anymore.

Everything works fine when connecting to the internet with DATA TRAFFIC.....what should i do?

Please help - everything was fine before with Gingerbread.

I updated to ICS yesterday on the 24th/aug.12.

Would it help if i repair the firmware? - and when repairing will all my previously installed Apps be deleted?

I'm from Estonia!

Best regards,

Thank you....
Mario

OK thanks, i will wait a little. Maybe there will come a solution for this, if not then i will try to repair the phone.

Does your P work correctly with ICS?
Before updateing I had the GB 6.0.B.3.177/...184.

When repairing will every old software be deleted form the phone - so that there wount be any bugs there for ICS???....

Thanks in advance......:smileyhappy:

I don't have a Xperia P, from the 2012 Xperias I have the Xperia S, and runs fine with ICS

I've had exactly the same problem since ICS.

I'm trying to connect to a BT home HUB 3, the Xperia P knocks out every thing in the house running on WIFI

After changing the phone and then every setting going I've finally got it working!!

Change the wireless interface on your router to be 802.11 b/g only - not b/g/n

This resolved it for me, but i'd be interested to know why this is such a problem for ICS but is not getting solved with a patch.

OK - thanks for your advise.

But if I go out somewhere and try to use free WiFi then it has to work - I cant go change the router settings on the public Wifi router....right?!:smileysilly:

Have you tried it out side of your home....?:smileyhappy:

PLUS:...

My Phone rebooted on it's own 2 times in the last 30 min. Whats up with that? wtf?

Is this really all because of ICS on top of GB.

Do I really have to repair it? Thinking_Face

rebooting issues could be because of apps or the SIM card.
