Wifi problem after ICS update

Hi,

I have this problem, that when I connect to the internet with my Xperia P throu wifi it will connect but after a minute it will not load pages anymore.

Everything works fine when connecting to the internet with DATA TRAFFIC.....what should i do?

Please help - everything was fine before with Gingerbread.

I updated to ICS yesterday on the 24th/aug.12.

Would it help if i repair the firmware? - and when repairing will all my previously installed Apps be deleted?

Dear Sony!

Please let me know why does it take 6+++ months to fix a bug?

I am reffering to:

- Wifi connection drops (see: http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/49541?start=180&tstart=0)

- Notification LED bug

And No;  PcCompanion --> repair option does not fix anything!

As there are thousands of users who cannot use there Sony phones since more than half year now, I think it's time we go PUBLIC on this issue, as you are not willing to give any fix on the issue.

It's been quite some while that this issue is there, and Sony has not addressed it.

I have posted wifi capture in sept and sent it to Sony Admin, these are still donloaded, but no use.

I am again posting few logs i posted todaay, please pass these to few Sony admins or technical people for analysis (I have already done that).

ok guys, i dont know if u will still have the same problem with this wifi problem

i already found out the answer.

just to go PC companion again support zone - start - phone software updated then just follow the instruction given. well for me i use taht method again and at last the wifi problem is solved. i dont know why before after i upgrade to ICS for the first time the wifi is stuck. but after i re upgrade again with PC companion then the first step 1 to 7 theres and option which u can wifi or mobile network and wifi then i scan and it detect my router.

maybe the first time the upgrade is corrupt, well i dont know but for me this problem si fix.

i hope my thought can help u guys with the same problem.

Got the problem since today: nothing works via Wifi.

Hope it would not happen ...

Wifi suddenly stopped working for my phone, 1 month after upgrade to ICS.

Tried rebooting everything, nothing works.

Wifi via GPRS works though ....

Is the phone dammaged ? Or is this a bug in  ICS ?

Gonna switch to Samsung ...

Just used the SonyBridge in order to reinstall the latest update. Did not help AND everything was gone.

Now have to recover from backup

It 's a bug of ics..We hope that sony will collect some information of the wifi problem and other bugs and make JB bug free..

i am also facing somewhat similar issue on my phone. after the .75 update wifi stays connected but cant access any apps. same works fine on 3g. i just now flashed the .75 update again and now it seems to be working fine (Just been 5 hrs).And yes please dont use the stock backup and restore app its a big failure. Try backin up using pc companion.

To fix the Wi-Fi problem, "simply" update your phone to 6.1.1.B.1.75. If this update is not available in your country, visit these sites to simply flash your phone. It's really simple and will not harm your waranty (rooting does, flashing not).

Installing 6.1.1.B.1.75 worked for me as well (second day running without issues with all apps installed)...

It worked for me,too!! I didn' t wipe my date during the installation and that 's the good thing!!
