Volume button issue

Hi

I have an Xperia Sl, and from a few days a strange problem has been occuring. My volume up button does not do its work, while volume down works perfectly. If I reboot my phone, both buttons work perfectly, but volume up stops responding after sometime. I tried to force shutdown too and buttons responded perfectly for a day, after which volume up again stopped. Anyone else facing these issues?

That seems strange, have you tried to do a repair of the phone software?

Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Henke how can you not be aware of the volume up bug? It's well known on the XDA forum since day one of the .200 update.

The issue OP is facing is a bug with the .200 and .211 software, every single XPS suffers from it. It seems to be completely random and not facing the problem for a day or more is just as likely as getting it 10 times in the same day.

Doing the software repair is a waste of time as it will happen again inevitably.

Johan, take a look at my last post in this thread

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141798?tstart=0

And at my thread here where I described this and other bugs that happen to every XPS, and please forward this information to Sony's dev team, a bugfix release is needed.

Again, for those bugs (slow video rec, volume up not working, etc) doing the software repair is a waste of time, they are software bugs present in the firmware and there is no way to fix them, only Sony can fix them with a software upgrade.
