Touchscreen problems..

I have a dead zone in my phone. its a Xperia Neo L,, The dead zone is a vertical line that goes along the center line.. i cant draw my pattern correctly because of it.. do you think its a hardware issue? any help would be appreciated,, thanks.

To rule out any software problems you can try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:
