Unfortunately Exchange Service Stopped

Since a couple of days my new Xperia Z2 shows the message "unfortunately Exchange Service Stopped" - i can just confirm OK. After some time the message pops up again.
Have found the issue in other forum from 2013, but could not find root cause or fix.
Cleared the cache of both Email and Exchange app, does not help. Delete Data is diabled in settings/app/....
Believe I run the latest version of OS (4.4.2 v 17.1.1A.0.402)
Application crashes:191 x Exchange Services

Any idea?

I have experienced exactly the same problem.  Would be interested in knowing if this is a widespread problem and what is the cause / solution.

Problem started after latest update for me.  Have done a factory reset and reinstall of all my apps.  So far not had any problems.

To sole the exchange issue ,open your mail app, go into settings>cick on your email and scroll down to server settings >incoming settings make sure domain name starts with \e********@hotmail.com, server should be dub402-m.hotmail.com, tick the box use secure connection(SSL) and accept all SSL certificates and port to be 443. Should be working now.cheers

What server and version are you connecting to? Is it a Microsoft Exchange server or something else?
