Unable to connect to Sony Select after 4.3 upgrade

Hi all,

I just upgraded to 4.3 and tried to download new themes by going to Settings - Personalisation - Themes and then tapping the +.

Was directed to Sony Select but the error msg popped up saying 'No network connection'. This despite me being tapped onto Wifi. Same error occurs even in LTE connection. My data connection is fine, no problem with other apps like Facebook, twitter, browser etc.

Anyone else experiencing same prob and how to solve it? Is it a prob with Sony server or do I have to factory reset / repair my phone? The new themes are the main reason for my upgrade so to not be able to access Sony Select to d/l it is quite a bummer

Sony select is working. Just accept the terms in disclaimer from options in right top corner and then it will work.

I had the same problem but it's working for me now. this is what i did. go under setting/apps/all. then find Sony Select open it then uninstall and it will work again.

I didn't have to do anything to make it work: I got "connection failed" until yesterday and it's working now

Guessing Sony has fixed the service.

BTW: on the Xperia Z, "Sony Select" is a built-in application, so uninstallation is not an option (I'm surprised that it's could be different on the Z1)

I noticed this, but , since the post was in the same thread, I imagined that visitors could be supposed to already have read it (as I've did).

And also you could had made a copy/paste error.

Anyway, that's not a big deal.

I did not make a copy paste error.As you can see,users post their problems without reading before issues.I know this,I am here for some time now,they need to be told many times.

But the Sony select is not very useful.. As you can see.. It doesn't show AR EFFECTS, SOCIAL LIVE etc and MOTION SHOT is still not compatible... Themes are fine and I wish SONY SELECT was useful ... Sony needs to work on it.. And downloading AR EFFECTS, MOTIONGRAPH, V1 SPORT, WIKI etc make icon in the App drawer Which is not nice at all cause sub apps with icon and another separate tab opening.. But the apps are cool..

Sony select working 1 day after 4.3 update here in Cape Town.
