Unable to connect to Sony Select after 4.3 upgrade

Hi all,

I just upgraded to 4.3 and tried to download new themes by going to Settings - Personalisation - Themes and then tapping the +.

Was directed to Sony Select but the error msg popped up saying 'No network connection'. This despite me being tapped onto Wifi. Same error occurs even in LTE connection. My data connection is fine, no problem with other apps like Facebook, twitter, browser etc.

Anyone else experiencing same prob and how to solve it? Is it a prob with Sony server or do I have to factory reset / repair my phone? The new themes are the main reason for my upgrade so to not be able to access Sony Select to d/l it is quite a bummer

Hi XZ users,

finally Updated my phone on 28/12/13 4 am India (bangalore) after lot of wait n try (connecting to pc suite [if u know that feeling wat i mean]) now after update, i couldnt log in to sony select app, it tells network connection error. tried 3g,wi-fi but not working, tried clearing cahce and force stop but still same result. I really like the 4.3 update (UI and themes wat i saw in utube. but now i couldnt use install a theme. **bleep**) but however i found a way to install themes (play store)...Is there anyway for that app to work or should i have to wait for bug fix please help...advance in thanks...

Note: i know that update process is difficult...its not just like that...SONY tested my patience but finally got the update...

Please help..so that i can enjoy 4.3....this is the bug i found as of now....

Updated to 4.3 on 28-Dec morning and I am.also facing the same problem

I just got my xperia z recently and still on android 4.1.2. When I try opening up Sony select app, it shows only the title "Sony select" and a grey bar in the middle. And I can only click on the button at the top right corner and only option is to load the license. I tried opening it with wifi and mobile data but same result. I also tried clear the cache.

Anyone has the same issue?
