Tipo touchscreen problem

I got my tipo on 22nd September. But only today i noticed that the drag or hold on the touchscreen never works! Be it for deleting home screen icons or the design unlocker thing. Is this a common problem. Also i am from kolkata,India.And it seems like no sony service centera are in my city. What to do?

Anshumaan!! The software update worked.. went to the authorised dealer all ready to fling the fone back on thier face.. but the update solved the isse..

I thinku should look for authorised service even if not for sony's own.. it could work!!

Am happy with this phone now!!!

i got touch screen problem in my Sony Xperia tipo. i cant reach at sony service center because there has no service center in my country. i updated my phone OS but screen error still remaining . is there any way to fix this issue.. i think if someone upload a backup file of sony xperia tipo in this forum with restore guide problem may solved.

Hello. I Purchased this phone about 1 week ago and I am disappointed because screen doesnt work fine. I would go to the sony customers care but i have no possibility to go there. So please Sony can you upload that touch calibration patch because that problem has much users and someone like me have no possibility go to sony center.

thanx man.. i ve been to the service centre here the idiot kept my fone and the next day tells me that there is a problem with the hardware and that it has been sent to chennai for maintenance!!  imagine!! when i had specifically told him that there is a problem with the sw and it needed updating!!

He says all maintenance is done only in chennai in india and i now have to w8 atleast anoder 5 days!

also got problems with the touchscreen. 2 times repair over sony companion and a firmwareflash doesnt solve the problem (xperia tipo red). i've uploaded a video on youtube, that shows the issue

i'm awaiting my second tipo and hope its fully functional.

I have just tried this with the touch screen test and it is a disaster! How do I upload it? Nothing else will work once I have made disconnected lines on the screen.

Hii guys...i brought sony tipo single sim (black) smartphone a month ago. in that i found tat my screen is nt respondng lik other smartphnes. apps drag was nt workin , keypad also...

   My frnd one sugggested me to visit xperia service centrre , so yestrda we went der and my complent is perfectly resolved. i think they calibration setting.... .nw its working smoothly than before...  really good smartphone...
