ROOT LOCKED/UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER (LAST POST)

Hello Folks,

After buying a beautiful phone called Xperia P i was very happy , untill sony provided me with regular doseof BUGdates the so called updates. Finally i knew the so called warranty was useless when u couldnt use your phone properly on the stock shit(Frustrated for past 8 months) ,so i unlocked my bootloader and rooted my device and after trying the different mods and tweaks i guess now i have a perfect device with me thanks to Devs @ "XDA" rather than SONY.

Lag free,Super Smooth,Awesome Battery Backup.

My Device,

Xperia P

1) Rom -- JB MoonBreaker v2.0 ReUp | Super Light ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258058

2) Kernel - Sliding_XP Kernel v8.3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002202

Governer- Sakuractive

Scheduler - Sio

3) JellyBean Fixes & Addons -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303244

     Dark Themed Xperia Apps - Conversation,Calander,Phone,Contacts. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303244

Since i am a heavy user this combination gives me very good performance and a Screen on time of above 4hours 30 min.

The maximum Standby that i have got is lost 1% of battery in 10 hours ie 11pm to 9am.(I do not use stamina mode ever its buggy shit)

The apps i use to save some juice are

1) CPU Sleeper(Root) -

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eugene373.cpu.sleep&hl=en

2) Greenify

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&feature=search_result#?t=W251bG...

3) Battery Defender -=

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.batterysaver&feature=search_result#?t=W2...

and yes i am on 2G network and leave my data packet on throughout. this app Battery defender just switches it off when ur screen is off and ur back online when the screen is on,works better for me than stamina mode. I do not have the Lag in dialer (ppl say it lags for 10 -15 seconds:smileyshocked: why the hell is this called a phone then :smileyshocked:).

Thats all i wanted to say and once again special thanks to the devs @ XDA

Thank u

It is strange for the device to discharge that much while powered off.It could be a problem with the battery.Do you have your xperia for a long time?Did the update go well in the end?How is the battery now?

My friend jack u have connected ur device to your laptop in flashmode. ie u switched off ur device and connected the usb pressing the volume down button. IN FLASH MODE AND FASTBOOT MODE THE DEVICE DOWSNT CHARGE HENCE ITS ALWAYS ADVICED TO CHARGE YOUR DEVICE ABOVE 50 % ALWAYS BEFORE UPDATING.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH UR DEVICE.

i know, he might have connected it in flash mode and waited for the 600mb update to download i guess thts why that happened.

first day it got failed Anguished_Face .. but next day it finished with 11% remaining from 70 % .. my 630mb update took some 3 hours i guess to download and why should it get discharged when in flash or fast boot mode (switched off).. earlier this prob was not there while updating .. now mobile is fine and without a factory reset its working fine ... :smileylaugh::smileylaugh: no prob in battery backup .. afraid to do a factory reset as it ll delete my fav games Anguished_Face ... my device under warranty only coming nov my warranty gets over Anguished_Face waiting for tat Smiling_Face_with_open_mouth_&_closed_Eyes to do rooting by unlocking the bootloader and to flash custom roms:smileylove:

yeah i know my friend ... but previous updates which ever i do never caused this much drain .. actually first day it stopped aft downloading 270mb and next day it continued from 280mb to update:smileyhappy:. anyhow aft update has finished it was abt 11% only remained in battery :smileysad:..

Yes thats gud abt sus it doesnot discard the previous download. yes the phone discharges when its in flashmode/fastbootmode cos the device doesnt display anything still its on that why the firmware update is being done.

And after a firmware updates 90% problems are due to previous user data interference (I have personally tried these things a million times with various roms) Hence its always recomended to have a complete factory reset once ur done upgrading ur firmware.

Back up using other apps available thru the market. DO NOT USE THE STOCK SONY BACKUP AND RESTORE ITS A FAIL(Dont know if it works in this firmware)

oh i c ok ok mithun... hmmm gonna do factory reset :smileylaugh::smileysilly: .. even i too experienced many issues if i don do a factory reset ... now had no problem so didnt do it .. anyhow its gud to do it ..

I installed Moonbreaker and I have to say, battery backup is now more than 2 days  The response of the system is fast and smooth.
The only problem is my phone still freezes sometimes (when on 2G and the phone is sending/receiving a text, I can't do a thing for 2 mins because of it freezing). I did a factory reset after the installation but this problem keeps coming back..
Did you have this problem before unlocking your bootloader? I'll be unlocking it in a week or so, after my exams are over but I'd like to be sure it'll resolve my problem before I start unlocking it Winking_Face
