Replacing the front screen Xperia Z3, screen cracked, changed color

The back of my phone is completely shattered and most recently the front also got cracked. The power button still turned on the phone but I couldn't swipe. I was going to get a replacement front screen and when I started to take the screen off the lock screen changed color and was a blur of white. I didn't take it off completely yet. It's just a blur of black and other colors now. I still hear notifications coming in. The notification light still flashes. The power button still lights it up and the camera button on the side still work. So if I get a replacement front screen should it go back to normal?

I'm not trying to start a chat with support here. I went on here because I had luck with other users. I'm just asking a question which I stated my first post. No reason to go through and start a chat.

Well I contacted support and they were completely useless not being able to answer any questions so I am back to square one. Does ANYONE know if replacing the LCD and screen will make the phone function properly? I dont want to spend a lot of money and time trying to fix something that is a lost cause.

No one will be able to answer that question without physically inspecting the phone.

I dont really think it's that hard of question. I'm not asking for a definitive answer. I'm just asking for advice and what people think.

Anyway I ordered the screen and LCD digitizer. I'm sure it will work.

Perhaps @Thommo @alexdon could reply but if you pulled the screen from the front w/o disassembling the phone you could've damaged ribbons or other parts of the phone.

Regarding back panel and you worrying about all the small pieces, what you need to do 1st with that is cover it in tape before removing - However is you have a USB OTG cable and are able to connect it to a Tv and have your phones screen seen on said Tv then you will be able to check for damage to hardware etc but assuming all functions are fine and you have time, patience and the knowledge then I don't foresee any issues but take what I say with regards to no issues as a fact but merely a best case scenario

First of all, you gave to be professional to replace these parts
Second, the Screen and the digitizer are one piece including the LCD
And yes you have to replace the back too
Finally, you've already ordered them, so disassemble you're phone and check if there is anything broken

I recently had to fix my phone after it got cracked. I replaced the front, the touch screen. I have not yet received the back replacement yet so the phone is currently without a back. I tested it out to make sure that everything is working properly. I got both cameras to work but the flash is not working. I clicked flashlight on and the light no longer shines at all. Does anyone have any insight on that? And the speaker on the top of the phone. I can hear music from it but when I make calls I do not hear it ring and I cannot hear the person on the other end. If I attach headphones I can hear and if I put it on speaker it works. I'm a little confused about that. Thanks for any insight!

@jessejay

You could repair the phone with PCC,if that doesn't work then check the ribbons, make sure that they are properly connected

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)
