The back of my phone is completely shattered and most recently the front also got cracked. The power button still turned on the phone but I couldn't swipe. I was going to get a replacement front screen and when I started to take the screen off the lock screen changed color and was a blur of white. I didn't take it off completely yet. It's just a blur of black and other colors now. I still hear notifications coming in. The notification light still flashes. The power button still lights it up and the camera button on the side still work. So if I get a replacement front screen should it go back to normal?
The one I was going to buy online was a "LCD Display and Touch Screen Digitizer." But you all are saying it's possible more could be wrong with the phone?
It was working fine until I started to pick it apart, so I couldve busted the LCD part. I also heard on youtube you need to remove the back in order to replace the front. Do you think its worth it to try to replace it and get all my information on the phone back or just to start fresh and buy a new phone?
You are supposed to take the whole thing apart, did you just pulled the LCD/Digitizer from the front?
This is how to take it apart

I took the front off without taking the back off. The front is still connected but it is halfway off. I wanted to ask first because the back of my phone is completely shattered. As soon as its removed the entire thing will break into tiny pieces. As soon as I got the phone the screen started to come off. The adhesive must not have been strong enough or something.
But this isn't so much about disassembling the phone as it is if I bought a replacement that I mentioned if it will fix it or if I'm just better off buying a new phone. I love SONY products but this phone seems to be more trouble than its worth.
What do you mean? A store? No one by me sells the phone. I ordered the phone from this website. And I went here for additional support.
