Proximity sensor issue

Hi,

I am facing anissue with the proximity sensor control over my screen display during a call.

My phone screen goes black (due to the proximity sensor) as I start a call and doesnt turn on untill the other person ends the call.
Please provide any suggestions for avoiding this issue. (It has already cost my phone balance a lot.)

The screen on mine goes black when on a call.  All I have to do is touch the screen and it comes back on.  Touching the power button on the side has the same effect.
