phone wont transfer anything to sd card

i have a new phone (well a few weeks old now),i have folder on my 32gb sd card for videos and photos,i was recording a video of my children the other day and in the middle of recording m,y phone alerted me saying it is 75% full and i must transfer to sd card,i went ahead with it and it said it cant,i must look for transffered items?!?!

i didnt bother with it and hooked it up to the laptop and did it that way.

this morning my satnav said its going to start charging every month,so i remved it ans installed another free one,it couldnt download any maps because it said my phone was full and needed room,i looked into it and found there was nearly 7gb of free space.

it then gave me the option to install on sd card, but it popped up saying there is no sd card and couldnt transfer.

oddly enough my wife has the same phone as we both took the same contract out.

both phones having the same issues with transferring to sd.what is the problem and how can i sort it out?

The last software update on my Z3 Compact deleted all downloaded music files from my SD Card. No matter what I have tried, nothing allows for me to replace them. Media Go gives error messages. File Manager will not allow me to drag and drop. I have even tried to fling them but the phone wont open the download. I have downloaded Scan Media app but that wont open either and so I have uninstalled it. I have also tried clearing all Walkman data before restarting and trying again unsuccessfully. I'm pretty frustrated. It was working fine until the update and I really appreciated listening to my music on my phone while I work. The annoying thing is that the songs that were pre-installed are still there and I can't delete them.

Ok, I HAVE FOUND AWAY AROUND THIS!!!

I dragged and dropped music files directly into internal storage from my pc. Went to Walkman on my phone to check they were there. They were. Went to Settings, Internal storage to check they showed up. Then went to Settings/Storage/Transfer data to SD Card. They transfered. Checked in Walkman that it could still access them and it did. YES!!!
