i buy experia p few days ago

after enable nfc in setting menu nothing happines

after add widget on desktop - nothing

after repeating the action over and over again - icon appears in the notification bar for a few seconds

then - nothing

i try install few application from google play ho works with nfc - nothing

i hardreser my phone - nothing

tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to enable nfc?

if Sony stop messing with Android's code we should be enjoying Wi-Fi direct which is quite nice, and apple does use it on OSX Lion, quite convenient

what test I can run to make sure that nfc works?

unfortunately there is no test to confirm whether nfc is running or nt in our xperias !! mark helpful.correct if u find my post useful

Install smarttags app and add widget on desktop

Enable NFC in setting menu

Put the Sony smarttags at the back (face to NFC, near the len)

Not touch smarttag with the black of phone

But move the phone near to the smarttag at around 1CM away

The distance need to be 1cm, NFC not able detect smarttag if it far away or too close
