nfc not working

i buy experia p few days ago

after enable nfc in setting menu nothing happines

after add widget on desktop - nothing

after repeating the action over and over again - icon appears in the notification bar for a few seconds

then - nothing

i try install few application from google play ho works with nfc - nothing

i hardreser my phone - nothing

tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to enable nfc?

it's android beam on? are you using an antivirus?

i had smarttags (red & black) from the box

and few smarttags from Moscow subway

I bring them to the phone and nothing happens

Actually this whole idea of doing a back to back touch is not quite practical given the fact that most users hold the phone with back covered. On human behaviour front i think no one would hug each other back to back

Lets see what Apple comes up with in NFC will they also go by Back to Back hug or get their NFC working with frontal touch.
