in I/O 2011 Sony Ericsson agreed to update for AT LEAST 18 months their devices, the Xperia Arc was released April 2011 which means that it should receive updates up to October but how about the LT15a which was released later on 2011 does it mean that it will get updates until december more or less?
but the MOST important question is, Is Sony going to keep their promise to update their phones for AT LEAST (not up to) AT LEAST 18months as Sony agreed at I/O 2011 ?

I hope we don't get an answer like the 2010 Xperias
Sony will fail us Again, I'm sure. greets
so now the thread is on the xperia 2012 family......... Xperia 2012 Family > Xperia Ion shame on you moderators.
Don't know what I was thing... Got myself and Ion with Rogers in Canada (Marginally better than AT&T). So here's to hoping I don't get hosed again like the X10. Not so promising out the gate with Gingerbread when stacked against HTC X One and Samsung Galaxy IIIs running ICS (Promised Jellybean already). Add the fact that most of their older models have, or are getting ICS already - Sigh. Hurry up and wait, wait some more - hoping "Sony" does better this time around....
Sony make.belive
This is the perfect time for Sony to repair their reputation and not lose anymore customers
But sony is still gaining tons of customers from the 2012 xperias.
They dont care about the 2011 xperias......
JB would take a long time to make, and right now, their focus is on 2012 xperias.
That leaves us in the same position like the 2010 xperias
Maybe a riot might work
yes and no, the same thing happen with 2010 and 2011, but now it's different as the new 2012 Xperias are experiencing a LOT of issues, let just say they can't have a phone to work as a phone bc it can't stay connected
wait, so the 2012 xperias are not so fantastic as the adds on tv potray them to be?
the Xperia P U Sola have connectivity issues, it seems to be software related
This is taken from gsm arena. I'm sure yall read this article BUT IN CASE U WERE WONDERING IF THE XPERIA ARC S SPECS WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE JB UPDATE, CHECK THIS OUT:
"
In case you were expecting Samsung, HTC, LG, or Huawei to be the first to launch an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone, which is not part of the Google Nexus family, we have a surprise for you. The ZTE N880E is the first non-Nexus device to enter the currently small club of handsets, which boot Android 4.1 out of the box.
ZTE boast that the impressive feat has been accomplished thanks to the Chinese giant's good relationship with Google, combined with the company's "extensive R&D capabilities and our experience of customizing devices for partners around the world." Regardless of the reasons though, we think it's a remarkable event anyway you look at it.
In terms of specs, the ZTE N880E will hardly blow you away. Launched back in May with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, the smartphone features a single-core Qualcomm CPU, clocked at 1GHz and 512MB of RAM. A 4" WVGA display, 3.2MP camera, 4GB of expandable memory, and 1650mAh battery complete the highlights of the spec sheet. The measures of the N880E are 119mm x 61mm x 10.4mm, and its weight comes at 130 grams."
Im sure an extra 400mhz on the arc s can serve it well....
This also proves that the arc could manage it as well as the mini pro and neo.
So if sony says JB won't be coming to 2011 xperias due to hardware limitations, we certainly know that that statement is a pack of crap.
