What we need Sony to repair in the upcoming JB update.

First of all i would like to thank Sony for Announcing the true timeframe of when JB will be released for Xperia S/SL/ion/acro S handsets that will be on the END OF MAY.. but maybe they can fix all the bugs that owners of those handsets are dealing with,so i will try to post some of the real BUGs that i suffered and still suffer with my Xperia SL mobile :

Camera problems :

Focus issue : some of many pictures that i took with that camera appear to be soo blury that sometimes i get embarrassed when i offer a challenge with other mobile cameras owned by friends with 8 MP or less.

Fast capture isn't fast enough !! : many of my attempts trying to show people how fast my mobile can capture seem to FAIL it took the phone more than 4 sec to capture the pic 3 to start up and 3-4 to focus and capture ..really annoying.

12 MP only in 4:3 Resolution : can you please give us a chance to experiance the impressive 12.1 MP camera in 16:9 Resolution ..would be nice of you

Black square's while zooming some pics : some annoying black square's appear on my screen after zooming some captured pictures ( sometimes they disappear and some times they stick with the pic ) ..plz do something about it :smileysad:.

Really Annoying Capture and save problem : Now this is worst than whats above though it only happened to me once but you guys should do something about it ..

the problem begins when i tryed to take a picture of my hat on the bed using fast capture while moving the phone fast to the left and so the pic was bad that i had to delete it ..and tryed taking another pic after exiting the fast capture mode and using the SCN AUTO mode ..but after taking it and pressing on it on the bottom left corner to view it ..I WAS SURPRISED to see the old bad pic comeing back from the dead !! srsly i deleted it again and it still pops back knowing that the new pics i took NEVER GOT SAVED ..now that was really awkward that i had to reboot my phone ..and thats when it came back normal ..please take this one seriosly !!

Other Problems with the software :

WiFi turns on automaticly and never turns off : my WiFi is always off but sometimes it goes on without even notifying me but when i try turning it off it doesn't respond ..but it does when i reboot the phone ..many Xperia S/SL owners suffered the same problem so please help !!

NFC not compatible with many devices such as ( samsung galaxy note 2 and other ) : as one of the main reasons for me buying that phone i should get a full experiance with it ..but now i know that many phones either not recognize my NFC or never transfer media files with it ..as for me trying to use the NFC with samsung galaxy S3 ..i was ashamed cause picures or other media files never crossed to the other side ..it always gave me an error that the file is too large or redirect me to the APP STORE .please improve the NFC on Xperia S/SL !!!

Lagging Games and Apps : i am addicted to games specially on HD screens but yeah maybe i should have a good processor to have a smooth game play..so i took my phone for a challenge with a samsung galaxy GRAND handset ( 1.2 dual core processor vs. 1.7 dual core processor ) and started a game called Temple run 2 the GRAND started the game much faster than my phone !! but lets see it has a JB 4.1.2 android ROM so maybe Sony can improve the smooth gameplay after giving us that update

1 GB of RAM and all i get is 600 !!! : Sony please next time when you announce the specs of the phone try to consider telling us what you took before what you gave ..i had to install an app called SMART RAM BOOSTER to atleast have some fresh space in my RAM during gameplay or web browsing..JUST do something about it plz !!

And now after giving you some of the bugs with the ICS or the handset itself i would like any of the Sony mods or imployees on here to pass this information to whoever it may consern..and i wish that all that time you took to give us the JB update would make it a smooth and bugless ROM ..also due to this delay PLEASE JUST GIVE US THE 4.2 JB UPDATE IT WILL BE BETTER FOR ANGRY CUSTOMERS TO REGAIN THE FAITH IN YOUR COMPANY !!! :smileygrin:

Please post any other Bugs you suffer with your Xperia S/SL here so they can pass as much info as they can to those who are working on the JB Update.

What do you mean by focus issue? I don't take many pics but they usually come out pretty well. Remember to keep your hands steady and focus on a clear area and not in the shadows. Also, learn how to use the metering and iso options for impressive photos. Also, if the phone fails to focus, release the button and try again, takes only a split second. I think the slow focus is a limitation of the sensor and not solvable by software updates unfortunately.

12mp in 16:9 is not possible, I don't remember the explanation I was given, it has to do with the amount of pixels and the aspect ratio which cannot fit all of them.

For the black square, yeah, I get it sometimes too after taking a pic, seems like a bug caused by the photo which is not fully saved yet. So go back and wait a second and retry. This one should really be fixed. I never had the other bug so I can't say.

I never had the Wifi bug in my life, and I had 2 Xperia S phones. Are you sure it's not an app that does it? I've never heard of this problem. Also consider doing a software repair.

For your problem with games, I can assure you that Temple Run 2 is butter smooth in my device. Check out which apps you are using, you probably have some crappy app that's keeping your CPU busy. Also make sure you haven't set the graphics to the highest setting, as that's intended for really high end phones (like Tegra devices), set it to medium.

Finally, for your issue with ram, read up on how android uses the ram. Used ram is not wasted, free ram is. Uninstall that bogus ram booster program, I seriously doubt it does anything useful at all. And again, check out which apps you're using, many shady apps run in the background and overload the processor.

Yeah maybe some never suffered with the focus issue but i've seen this in many discussions ..its true that changing some camera options will fix some..and about the resolution i am sure Sony can work something out  😕 ..

about the WiFi bug i still suffer with it as the WiFi always turnes on randomly and many people had that issue aswell ..i first had this problem after 2 weeks of buying the phone and not many apps was installed only the ones with trusted developers and no internet connection needed in so i dont agree with some people telling that i should preform a software update ( SUS ) cause its still new.

i will try out ur trick with the gaming issue ..but i'm sure that the JB update can fix some of those bugs..but man srsly its not about the ram booster ..cause the main reason why i installed this app is to prevent overheating ..and at least have a 20 min gaming without getting my hands all swetty lol

anyway thx for ur help and i i would like to ask u a few questions ..when did u first get ur Xperia S ? what are the main issues u suffered with in both phones ? i would be glad to have you helping me out with my SL handset cause i just got it 3 months ago ..thx
