Is the included Front Screen Protector made of the same material as the ET988 for the Z3 tablet?

Hi All,

Dunno if anyone (Sony Reps?) can answer this but.....

I am a bit of Screen Protector nut - having been using them on all my devices for years and tried lots of different brands over the years from the cheapest to some quite expensive ones. I also dont like shiny screens and prefer matt effect.

I was pleasantly surprised to find my Z3Compact phone came with dual protectors - for the front and back. Whilst the back is gloss effect, the Front SP actually has a subtle matt / anti glare finish to it. However, unlike any other matt SP I have tried it is still smooth to the touch and barely impacts the screen quality.

I also own the Z3 Tablet and have applied a decent quality Matt SP to it - but I find the touch a bit grainy when sliding my finger around.

I read somewhere that the ET988 has a semi-matt anti glare surface - but have never been able to confirm this.

I dont want to waste £10-15 on getting the ET988 unless it uses the same material and has the same touch finish as the Front SP that was included with my Z3C Phone.

So, can anyone from Sony - or a user with 1st hand experience confirm if the above is true or not?

Well you make it sound like I should be grateful that I got a reply - from the manufacturer with whom I have spent £hundreds - even though the reply does not even answer a simple question I asked and it took them several weeks to give that useless response...

I dont think so - Sony should be ashamed of the rubbish customer service they offer they loyal customers....

Unfortunately I don't have the EP988 so I can't personally examine this but after doing some check up, the look, feel and quality is the same on all our screen protectors.
