newly added contacts disappear

When I add a new contact it only seems to stay for a short while then disappears. Very frustrating. All my old ones that I imported of my SD card stay on there. WHY?!

Hi,

That sounds strange. When you add a new contact, do you store it as a Phone contact or Google Contact e.g? The contacts that you have now in your phone (that doesn't disappear), are they imported from the SD-card/synced from Google etc?

I save them as a Google contact. The ones already on there are imported from the SD card

Do you have filters enabled - open Contacts then tap the 3 dots then Filter then check those settings

No filters. Should show all contacts

Could you try the following:

1. Go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Tap at your@google-account > Unmark "Sync Concats".
2. Go to Contacts > Menu button > Export contacts > Choose Internal or SD-card > Confrim export.
3. Go to Settings > Apps > Swipe to the tab "All" > Contacts > Clear data. Do the same for Contacts Stroge which also can be found at the tab "All".

You can now go back to Settings > Accounts > Google > Tap at your@google-account > And mark "Sync contacts" and the contacts from your Google account will be synced again. Add a new contact and check if this one still disappears.
