I can't see SD Card connected to PC

Hi,

I have Xperia Sola with microSD Kingston 16Gb class 10.

The problem is that when connecting to a computer, I see only the built-in memory ("Internal Storage"), but dont see SD card anywhere (Windows 7 x64)

In Device Manager on my PC i see device "Mass storage" (VID_0FCE&PID_A173) with yellow triangle (it means drivers not found, i google it but find nothing), perhaps this is reason?

At the same time i can see this card on phone via Settings - Memory and via Astro File manager (the card is showed as ext_card)

What do you advise that I could see SD Card via PC? (sd card must be inserted into xperia sola )

on your PC go to your "my computer" and check if its there

sure, already do it.

Under "My computer" i see "XPERIA sola" and "Internal Storage" inside

I read this is a MTP device, which dont have any device-specific drivers.

but MSC device not present om PC side (

Thank you all, I managed to finally find a solution!

Reason was the lack of some *.inf files in Windows\inf folder. I found PC where SD card work fine, and copy Windows\inf folder to my PC without replace files.

Then via Device Manager i delete unknown device and search for new hardware.

Now my SD card work fine.

I'm having the same problem, bought a Samsung 16Gb Class 10, tried everything you guys said here but nothing worked. I plug the phone to the pc and the only thing it finds is the internal storage. No SD, and also in Device Manager everything is fine, no problems.

Any solution?

do you have it as MSC or MTP ?

It says MTP for internal and MSC for SD. And I can't change that, it just shows as information..

I strongly recommend you connect SD card via USB cardreader (not via phone)

If SD card detect normally, then insert it back to phone

if not - problem is on PC, not on phone.

I did that and it worked normally. But when on phone it doesn't show like internal storage is showing 😐

Can you see card via Astro or under Settings - Storage (at least you must see card size in Gb)

Can u see "SD Card connected" in notifications?
