Hi,
I have Xperia Sola with microSD Kingston 16Gb class 10.
The problem is that when connecting to a computer, I see only the built-in memory ("Internal Storage"), but dont see SD card anywhere (Windows 7 x64)
In Device Manager on my PC i see device "Mass storage" (VID_0FCE&PID_A173) with yellow triangle (it means drivers not found, i google it but find nothing), perhaps this is reason?
At the same time i can see this card on phone via Settings - Memory and via Astro File manager (the card is showed as ext_card)
What do you advise that I could see SD Card via PC? (sd card must be inserted into xperia sola
)
Thank you
Ah, well i did it with my adapter and its still not working... i've no idea how to get it working since on the other it was automatic... any other ideas?
Well i just managed to fix it and i really didn't understand how.
I went to the Device Manager and on Portable Devices (something like that) I clicked on Xperia Sola and selected update drivers and then it changed to an USB device and the SD card appeared under Discs, plugged out and in again the usb cable and it started working like expected.
Now i can access Internal Storage and SD Card from Windows Explorer and Sony PC Companion.
nice, turns out the problem was incorrectly installed PC drivers for SD card
Hi,
I have the same problem here, can someone give me a link to download the right drivers?
Thanks
I tried on a firnd's PC and it worked ! Please help !
So if card work on another PC, problem must be in your PC.
Read this thread for several solutions, but first thing i recommend to connect card via adapter (not via phone) - card must be worked before trying other solutions.
If u have windows xp, maybe u need this fix for SDHC card support:
After a lot of research... I found the answer.. Read carefully!
This is problem with Win 7 & MTP drivers and has nothing to do with the phone. It happens coz first time when you connected your phone, MSC was not enabled. Now, to fix this problem, this is all that you have to do.
1) Disconnect phone from the computer.
2) Go to C:/Windows/inf ->>>> and cut and paste this files somewhere elese (wpdmtp, wpdmtp.PNF, wpdmtphw, wpdmtphw.PNF)
3)Connect the phone to the computer.
4) Go to device Manager and click on scan for hardware changes. It will Install all the drivers except for one. Now your External Card will be visible in the Explorer.
5) Copy the files that you deleted ffrom INF folder under windows Directory back to the same place.
6) Go to device manager again and Scan for Hardware changes.
7) Now you will see both Internal Storage as well as External storage in Explorer.
😎 Internal Storage will be in MTP mode, whereas the External Storage will be in MSC mode.
NJOY! Thought of sharing this as no one has provided the correct answer.
