Hello Everyone,
I'm having problems with my microphone on my xperia s... it was working fine one day and all of a sudden it wouldnt work... i say wont work but it does i just have to shout at the top of my voice to even be heard and even then apparently its quite..... strange thing is that it was working fine the other day... any ideas on how to fix it?? i dont think its the OS on the phone. I tried first reparing the phone which didnt work then upgrading to ICS but i am still having the same problems.....
Any ideas?
I'm having the same problem as you are with my mic. It's working fine but when it comes to phone calls no one can hear me. I have to use my hands free. Did you get it sorted and if you did what did you do?
I also have the same problem (in fact both for my wife and me). According to the suggestion above I tested the speaker and mic via the service test (*#*#7378423#*#*).
So I'd be happy if someone from Sony could tell us, what to do regarding these problems!
thanks, aron
i faced the same problem yesterday, i formated my device 2 times for this.
Go to Settings, Call settings, and remove tick from Noise suppression.
First of all thanks, indeed It helped a bit.
In addition, (and I suggest Sony advertising this option) I followed one of the recommendations I found in this site, namely, Sony Update Service from here http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ and it really helped significantly - maybe that is what you called as "I formated my device ..".
It is a pity, that it is not promoted well enough ....
i have the same problem, mic stoped responding without any reason, i downgraded it from ICS to GB and the problem still the same. i upgrade it again and the problem remains the same
The function of mic noise suppression is not working any more, you have to deactivate it to use the mic
by going to setting, call setting and deactive the noise suppression
you can keep using the noise suppression but you have to put your hand under the mic in curvy way to let your voice reach the mic.
i solved, you just go to the configuration / sounds and there you turn off any option (I turn off vibration).
Goodluck and "sony forever"
Hello guys.. can anyone please how did you get this problem solved after all? pleaase I'm facing the exact same problem!!
Hi,
To tell you the truth, the real solution is buying a good earphone with microphone. Because in my opinion. in addition, of course it's advisible to update your device.
You are right it's really pity that the could not solve this problem. Extremely due to the fact that this is the main issue if it's about a phone ....
good luck!
when did you update your cellphone?
at the end of July ... if you asked me
