First attempt to root.......Please help....!

I have a xperia u (ICS 4.0.4) after update to the ICS my phone lags a lot and very slow.So i thought i should flash a JB(4.1 or 4.2) rom.I didn`t do it ,because JB roms have major bugs(camera not working).Soi am happy to stick with ICS.If you know any stable jelly ben rom please tell me.I found that xperia u, firmware version 6.1.1.b.1.100 is more smooth and less bugs ,but it`s not availbale to update via pc companion ,I am sorry that i ask previously ask questions ,i saw a uliwooly`s page about upgrading but  i don`t undstand that becaue this is my first attempt.please answer my questions.My English not good, sorry for that.this is like a exam paper Slightly_smiling_Face ,Thank you

        (Qustion look simillar but read whole question,put the question number and answer,because it easy to undstand)

1) how to find my phone root or unlocked bootloader(because i buy it from a friend) ?
2) Do i need to unlock my bootloader to flash a new firmware version ?
3) Do i need to unlock my bootloader to install a JB(4.1 or 4....) rom ?
4) what is the most smooth and lees bug sony firmware for xperia u (i found that it is 6.1.1.b.1.100 ,http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/06/22/new-firmware-released-for-xperia-u-6-1-1-b-1-100/) ?

5) Do you know any jelly bean rom for xperia u which is stable and no major bugs ?
6) Can i use sony flash tool to flash my phone (http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/) ?
7) After i flash my phone ,if sony release a new update can i install it via pc companion ?

9) After i flash a new Firmware ,If i want to go back to old firmware ,can i do that ?

What Kernel???

Just flash Experimental kernel Version 10 . You will definitely find it on XDA forum otherwise here is the link.

Happy flashing. If you are afraid of doing this then stay on ICS you school boy.

Just flash it and let me know if you have any difficulty.

i am not afraid ,i just want  to know everything ,before i flash,i am going to do.but i am  going to use a differrent stock rom....!!!!!

Ok.. SO what are your questions??? Post here . I think I have answered all your questions about flashing. What is the thing you are afraid of??  And what the concept of different stock rom that you are using ??????

 

Post here so that I can know what are you doing before flashing.

this is the rom i am going to flash,i think no bug,what do you think ?,i watch a youtube video review about this rom so i try this rom ,

I could not guarantee you about the bugs and  working of this rom because I have used the Devswift one JB rom and currently using .

 

But if you  decided to use this one then Simply go for it . There is no  such issue in flashing.  

 

After Flashing let me know how is the results??? ANy bugs in that so and so....

 

But I would strongly suggest to use the Devswift One . There is also a kernel that is released yesterday by etch04 developer name (Experimental 11a) which has great RAM managemnt and great battery life on Xperia U bit far better than stock ICS.

then i try  Devswift rom,i can not flash right now because internet is slow ,( night in my country) sorry for late reply i will post my thought tomorrow .....! thanks for the all help ,it`s jelly bean time............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:smileyhappy::smileyhappy:

I unable to do anthing but still my phone is not a brick,i get the unlock key from sony,i download and install the flashtool and the drivers,i try to root via flash tool but didin`t work ,i download the JB rom ,you said about flashing b.1.10 kernel befor root i think it should be fimware,youtube video show about another kernel (thats the link you post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2326515) but you didn`t tell it on first step by step istruction,and i please tell me how to install cmw. please again give the instruction from root to flash jb rom , make sure to explain it futher ,i am not a expert in those things,dont say just flash,tell me how ,i know you cant write everything i need .can i unlock my bootloader via flash tool without android sdk ? and their a two version of cmw apps in paly store.....!!!!! sorry.........!!!
