Battery problem after software update for Xperia M

After updating to 15.1.C.2.8 the battery level comes down from 30% to 0% within 5 minutes. I have tried discharging the battery fully, then removing it for 5 minutes and charging again overnight in switched off condition, but it doesn't work. Also the estimated standby time is showning 3 hours though the battery is charged at 99% level. I have brought this Xperia M

set 1months back. Please help.

Hi,

I have updgraded my Xperia M (C1904) to 15.1.C.2.8. After this update I have observed that battery is draining very fast.

Before this update battery was lasting much longer than what I see now. There are same number of apps running before & 

after this update & nothing has been changed in phone usage.

Is there any fix for this?

Hi,

As i said earlier in my post, nothing has been changed in phone usage. I always check that there are no unnecessary processes are running in the backuground which will eat up battery. 

It is the drastic change of 50% battery perfromance just after the new update 15.1.C.2.8.

Is there any solution other than reinstalling phone's software?

Thank you for your reply. I have done exactly the same as has been instructed and battery backup improved. The battery charge level also didn't drop suddenly and the estimated standby time is showing exactly. Thanks a lot.
